		<description>They were not &quot;taken hostage&quot; but rather they were taken into custody by the ship because they had committed a very severe crime in international waters and the ship had no choice but to bring them to port to stand trial in a court of law. 

Considering that Sea Sheppard engages in what can be seen as piracy and something which borders on an act of war (attacks on a merchant or civilian vessel in international waters) you have lost all protection afforded a vessel flying a sovern flag and are fair game to be taken into custody or to be attacked by a military vessel defending the rights and safety of a merchant under attack.

Personally, I&#039;d like to see this terrorist operation get a nice fat torpedo in its side.</description>
