Robson has a new heavyweight on the block with the hard launch of Sixty Boutique, a 1,700 s.f. space housing complete collections from Miss Sixty, Energie, Killah and Sixty. Decorated with vintage furniture pieces and illuminated by modern light fixtures, the street-front location is your ultimate stop for clothing and footwear, plus the whole onslaught of accessories like sunglasses, handbags and jewellery.
Certainly a store with this much style knows how to throw a good launch party: sweat, blood and tears went into the Sixty Boutique opener at M Bank on October 11th, where Belvedere Vodka martinis were served all night long to the parched and intimate crowd. Things got a little slippery from there, but this was the kind of night where if your head hit the floor, at least the hottest shoes in town would be in prime view. Steve Aoki played everything under the sun that might make you wanna dance, and dance we did. Really, it could have been anything from sweat to blood to tears that soaked the skins of attendees because there was no body that wasn’t moving – jeans, hair and tees were shamelessly wet with delight. Even Aoki couldn’t stand the heat, peeling off his tee towards the end of his set but brashly leaving the shirt covering his entire head and face, mixing blind, a party trick that the dance floor went bazooka for. Our hats and shirts go off to Sixty Canada – but no sweat, the boutique is now open to service any fissures in our wardrobe.
