I am off to Galiano Island for another mini-vacay, but if you’re a lady who lives in the Vancouver area I recommend checking Vancouver Women’s Expo out, this Saturday and Sunday at the Vancouver Convention Centre. There will be tons of booths to pique your interest, in addition to guest speakers, fashion shows, make-up and education seminars, and lots more. I am sorry I’ll be missing it, though I may be able to catch the last couple hours on Sunday (fingers crossed.)
A couple of weeks ago I wrote about the Stella McCartney CARE skincare line – I was so excited about it that I posted a quick review the day I got the line, and now that it’s been a couple weeks I’ve really gotten a feel for the products. I have to say I overwhelmingly prefer the foaming cleanser to the cleansing milk, and my favourite serum has got to the the nourishing elixir. My skin feels super soft and healthy – and again, the products smell so good, very calming. I think it actually helps me fall asleep at night – must be all those yummy organic essential oils.
Enjoy!
After 13 years in business, Riot Clothing and Accessories is closing its doors and going out with a big bang with a huge sale on Thursday, November 6. Enjoy wine and other tasty beverages while you score some major deals.
In celebration of Halloween, I just had to post some of the best Michael Jackson Thriller choreographed dances. Thrill The World just broke the world record on October 25, 2008 with 4,179 people dancing the Thriller dance simultaneously in 72 cities within 10 countries.

my blackberry and i, in happier days
My BlackBerry got snatched out of my purse on September 14th at the Livestock Block Party in Gastown, and it was a major bummer.
Being without my only means of communication was bad, but even worse was receiving my cell phone bill today to find that within one day this thief racked up about $100 of long distance charges – not to mention the $400+ I had to spend replacing my phone and paying the subsequent fees.
I’ll be trying the numbers on my phone in an effort to track the dirty snatcher down and demand reimbursement, but I’m contemplating posting the digits dialed within that time to see if any of my sleuthy readers recognize the phone numbers and can help me nab this rotten criminal.
I’ll keep you posted on any new developments while I try to decide how un/ethical it is for me to post these telephone numbers online…Citizens on patrol!
(I just had to post because if I do find this person, how wicked of a story is that gonna be?)

Oodles of my favourite Vancouver designers are having a sale under one roof on Thursday, October 23 (that’s today, for the calendrically challenged). It’s a bit of misnomer as the location has been moved from Abbott Street to the Erin Templeton Shoppe on Carrall, but I guarantee it’ll still be just as good with designers like Allison Wonderland, Elika Designs, Erin Templeton, Imaginary Friend Apparel, plus Olie, Patina, Mothertrucker and Baby Dust.
Don’t miss it from 4:30pm – 8:30pm at the Erin Templeton Shoppe, 510 Carrall Street.
