Win a Larry to Keep You Warm

chinook winds shawl by larry designs

dace is running yet another of their fantastic giveaway contests, and this time around you can win a free larry. shawl.  Simply comment on dace’s contest page as to what keeps you warm and you’ll be entered to win the Chinook Winds shawl, hand knit by moi.

While you’re on the dace site, be sure to cruise through their new Fall collection – it’s amazing, thus I’ve already taken the opportunity to write about it here on The Conveyor Belt. Pair your new larry. shawl with dace’s Penny Dress for an easy Fall transition look, or layer it over the cropped Dana Blouse with the Walter Jacket and you’ll be set for the entire winter season.

The big prize in ION Magazine this month is “the gracey” scarf by larry.  This is one of my absolute favourite pieces, it was designed in collaboration with the grace-gallery and has become one of the top sellers – I can barely make them fast enough!  Enter at ionmagazine.ca to win, or inquire through the larry. website to purchase.

Gillette Giveaway (Read: FREE Stuff!)

First off, apologies for the shameful photograph.  I have been relegated to a world where I only have Photo Booth on my Macbook and the 3.2 mp camera on my Blackberry, so image quality isn’t exactly the name of my game at the moment.

This is an easy one.  Be one of the first four to comment and you get to select which product you want, for free.  Pretty darn simple.  You must be in Vancouver and willing to pick it up, because that’s how giveaways work here.

Up for grabs: Flex Gel (control without stiffness), Hair Spray (flexible hold), Sculpting Paste (gravity-defying texture), and Power Gel (our strongest hold gel).

I am so keeping the men’s 5-blade fusion power razor with trimmer (!?) to myself – aren’t mens razors infinitely better than womens?  Seems that way to me, but I’ll do a Venus vs. Gillette 5 blade showdown tomorrow to really settle the score.

Now, comment away.  Bonus points if you share an embarassingly horrific hair-related story.

Dace Alita Top Contest and Giveaway!

The Conveyor Belt has teamed up with d a c e to offer our readers a unique opportunity to win a free Alita top [pictured above - 95% bamboo jersey / 5% spandex], a $94 value!

I champion the notion of buying from local designers, hence why Vancouver-based labels are featured almost exclusively here on The Conveyor Belt. Therefore, I ask our readers to submit their own local fashion mainstays for their shot to win a top from one of Vancouver’s top designers.

All you have to do is email us a photo of your favourite locally designed outfit – how you interpret that is completely up to you. You can photoshop a collage of choice pieces, get someone to take a photo of you wearing your picks, or hang your clothes from tree branches and photograph that. Whatever. We’d like to learn about unique or independent designers in your town.

Please read on for a checklist and contest rules.
